Theatre
The Windham High School Theatre Company is an extracurricular program made up of Windham High School students in grades 9-12. The WHS Theatre Co. traditionally produces three shows a year:
-
A full length play in the fall
-
A student-directed one-act in the winter, and
-
A full length musical production in the spring
Students participate in these shows as actors, producers, directors, designers, and stage crew. All students who sign up are guaranteed a role either on stage or behind the scenes, as is their preference.

As an educational theatre program, shows are chosen to highlight a variety of acting, vocal, dance, and stagecraft techniques so that students are exposed to a variety of theatrical opportunities throughout their four years in high school. In addition to the three productions each season, a group of students are selected to participate in the New Hampshire Educational Theatre Guild Festival each year. Other opportunities provided include trips to see professional theatre throughout the New England area, as well as other types of student-driven productions developed as part of independent theatre internships.
